On 2021: A Note from the Editor

I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard and read some great reflections on 2020. So allow me to skip all that, and get to 2021.

A year lies ahead, and naturally, I’m conjuring all the best intentions I have for the year, and willing them into existence. Lose the weight, read the book, take the break, conquer the fear, finish the course, find the man, forgive, improve, grow...whatever your own list might look like, there is a common denominator: opportunity. As long as we have breath in our lungs, we have opportunity. Opportunity to hurt and to heal, to hold tight and to let go, to speak and to listen, to step forward and to step back.

These spiritual opportunities are endless, free of charge and full of change.

2021 presents to each and every one of us an opportunity to step further into the grace, hope and light that we have just celebrated in Jesus Christ. So I look on this year with great hope far beyond our material restrictions, because In 2021, there is opportunity for breakthrough, evangelism, healing, restoration, miracles, forgiveness, surrender, rejoicing, peace, and love. This we can be certain of, so the only unanswered question is what we choose to do with these opportunities.

I pray that 2021 can be a year of great choices in the face of great opportunities!

Galatians 5:13 - For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become slaves to one another.
