Our appeal this year, is to ask for 100 donors to donate £/$/€1 every day for the 40 days of Lent. Similar to offering of the small boy with 5 loaves and 2 fish (John 6:8 – 13) or the quiet, simple generosity of Onesiphorous (2 Tim 16-18) these regular, daily offerings of what we can spare – when multiplied – will bring a great impact for God’s kingdom.
We are also asking for 12 Mission Partners to donate £/$/€40 a month for 1 year. Similar to the prudent, visionary support of Joanna & Susanna (Luke 8:3) or Lydia, Phoebe, Gaius, Priscilla & Aquila (Acts 16 - 18, Rom 16) these steady, monthly offerings of our labour help to sustain and grow the work of the gospel in an ongoing manner.
Supporters from the Bible

This unnamed boy, mentioned in John 6:1–14, exemplifies childlike faith and generosity. Though his offering seemed small, Jesus used it to miraculously feed thousands. His simple act of giving reminds believers that God can multiply even the smallest gifts when offered with a willing heart.

Onesiphorus (2 Timothy 1:16–18) stands out for his faithful friendship and kindness toward Paul during imprisonment. He sought Paul out, refreshed his spirit, and was unashamed of his chains. His compassion models steadfast love, encouragement, and loyal service to fellow believers.

Joanna and Susanna, mentioned in Luke 8:1–3, were among the women who supported Jesus’ ministry through their own means. Joanna, the wife of Chuza (Herod’s steward), and Susanna used their resources to enable the spread of the Gospel. Their quiet stewardship highlights the importance of practical support in ministry.

Lydia (Acts 16:14–15, 40): A hospitable believer and successful businesswoman, Lydia opened her home to Paul and other Christians, establishing one of the earliest church gatherings in Philippi.

Phoebe (Romans 16:1–2): Described as a deacon and benefactor, Phoebe served the church at Cenchreae and supported Paul’s mission, likely carrying his letter to the Romans.

Gaius (Romans 16:23; 3 John 1–8): Known for his hospitality, Gaius welcomed missionaries and opened his home to the church, embodying the spirit of loving generosity.

Priscilla and Aquila (Acts 18:1–3, 24–26; Romans 16:3–5): A devoted Christian couple who worked alongside Paul as tentmakers and teachers, hosting house churches and mentoring others like Apollos in sound doctrine.
