Meet the 2015-16 Mission Volunteers

Mission Year Programme

As the GAP Base in Glasgow has developed in the past year to provide service and training opportunities, another programme has been growing as well: the Mission Year.

A Mission Year focuses the energy and talents of young graduates to serve as Mission Volunteers in local outreaches and programmes. This often means doing personal fundraising to move city or country for a year to be on mission as staff in University and Youth Outreaches or for the GAP Base. We have seen encouraging growth in Kairos-EME; Mission Volunteers see this and want to be a part of it. Right now there are seven Mission Volunteers in our region, each willing to invest a year of their lives to this mission to move it forward, building something that will last and having a lot of fun while doing so!
