MISSION TRAINING & RETREAT
SWOT-Launch Week is back!
SWOT-Launch is for core teams (or an equivalent group) of those in, or looking to start, a university outreach.
It covers foundational content to get you up and moving. It is designed to equip student outreach teams with the vision, skills and relationships needed to successfully build student outreaches.
SWOT is intended for the Core Team of a Kairos university outreach. It works best when attended by the whole team as the team will have time to plan and evaluate together. People serving directly in the mission are also welcome–both volunteers and staff.
If you have any questions, please talk to your local leaders or get in touch with Rachel: rachel.pyke@kairos-eme.org
We look forward to kicking off a new year of mission together!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS SWOT-LAUNCH WEEK?
SWOT-Launch Week is the official kick-off for a new year of mission in each of our locations! We believe that a combination of practical training, pastoral upskilling and fellowship with other missionaries is the ideal way to start a fresh academic year. We aim to send participants home with the tools, motivation and courage to boldly proclaim the gospel in their city, university, workplace, relationships and life.
IF I TRAVEL FROM CYPRUS WILL I HAVE TIME TO RECOVER BEFORE SWOT?
Yes! We hope to have as many Europeans as possible joining the Him We Proclaim Conference, and to accommodate those returning we will have a rest day on 21st August before kicking off SWOT-Launch later in the evening. The day will be free to use for sleep, introvert time, food or anything else that will refresh you before the next programme!
HOW DO I KNOW IF I SHOULD GO TO SWOT?
SWOT-Launch Week is designed for anyone serving in one of our outreaches - whether you're Mission Staff, Student Volunteer or any other role, we'd love to have you with us in Scotland! If you have any questions about SWOT, please talk to your local outreach leaders.

TRAINING TRACKS
GOSPEL TRACK
Throughout the week we'll dive into the book of Acts together, looking at the early days of the church and extracting key lessons for ourselves and for the life of our outreaches.
PASTORAL TRACK
Designed for mission staff and pastoral servants, this track aims to equip pastoral teams with the tools and processes necessary as you care for students and contacts from a variety of backgrounds.
EVANGELISM TRACK
Designed for students and missionaries, this track covers the evangelistic life of our outreaches. Teams will learn about effective evangelism and strategic environments, in an effort to expand the impact of our outreach communities.
These tracks will be accompanied by times of prayer and worship, as well as local team time, split sessions, free time and, of course, plenty of fellowship!
