Who we are
Kairos?
Kairos (καιρός) is a Greek word meaning the "right or opportune moment". In the Bible it is the time when God acts and men and women are invited to respond.
What's the link?
The decisions made in the teenage and student years profoundly impact the rest of life. In a society with an ever increasing wealth of opportunity and ideas, many young men and women struggle to find their way.
Kairos is founded on the Christian belief that God has a history with each one of us, he’s created us with gifts and talents and he has a purpose for each of our lives.
Through our programmes, trainings and environments, Kairos aims to form the kind of Christian character in young men and women that will help them discover that purpose and step into it with confidence.
What does Kairos do?
Training, Mission, Service. Most of the different Kairos works throughout Europe are associated with a particular university campus. Kairos is the organisation that links and resources these works, helps train their leaders and provides programmes where these students can serve together on mission trips and service projects.
Who funds Kairos?
Kairos is a non profit organisation and relies on the donations of individuals and charitable trusts.
At this point, the majority of our funding comes from the European Outreach Trust, the financial organisation of the Sword of the Spirit ecumenical communities.
