Name: Ania Wolas
Hometown: Bielsko-Bia?a, Poland
Gap Year: 2005/2006
Gap Location: London
Service on GAP: I took part in The Timothy Project with three other gappers. The project involved serving as staff in Koinonia, the Christian student outreach of Antioch Community in London. The areas of our service were creating a Christian environment for the students in London and reaching out to them through Evangelism. My main responsibility was fostering the women’s environment in Koinonia, but I also served alongside the rest of the staff in such projects as Koinonia Koffee Stall and Koinonia’s weekly Prayer Event.
Best thing about GAP: I really appreciated the connection with the Christian Community. I loved my Host Family, who offered their time, care and friendship to me. The Community Lord’s Days were definitely the highlights of each month. Also, living in a Household with other Christian ladies really made a difference. I think my best memories are those of our Household life.
